Getting our first family Christmas Tree

Christmas has always been a big deal in our family, but this year was going to particularly special because it was Blair's first! So a week before Christmas we bundled up and set out to find the perfect tree.

We searched the whole lot and then found the one!

Blair even got to pose with Santa!

After Daddy chopped our tree down we tied it to the car and headed for home, excited to decorate!

Blair and Daddy put the lights on the tree while Momma focused on the ornaments.

The Christmas Parade!

Saturday, December the 5th, Covington had it's traditional Christmas parade. Now I love a parade and this one being Blair's first we made sure we didn't miss it.

While we waited for the parade to begin, Blair and Boga began scheming how they too could join the procession!

Momma and Blair shared some parade kisses!

I do believe all in all she quite liked the parade!

Starting Veggies!

We love our veggies!

We went to Blair's 4 month Dr.'s appointment November 30th. Dr. Barnwell was super impressed with her weight gain and since we had been toying around with cereal by spoon already, he gave the okay for solids! So Momma ran out and stocked the cabinet with yummy veggies! We started off with Carrots on the 3rd of December, and as you can see it was a big hit!

Now Ms. Independent isn't content unless she gets to do it herself. She loved chewing on her spoon and holding it herself.

The Falls

Last year at this time Russell and I were on our Honeymoon in Elijay. While there we visited Ammicacola Falls.At that time if you'd have told us the following year we'd be bringing our daughter there we would have laughed at you but.... never say never I guess...
We had a great time having a picnic at the falls and really enjoyed the pretty weather!

Burt's Pumkin Patch!

The weekend before Halloween, we piled up and went on a trip to Burt's Pumpkin Patch! We had so much fun taking Blair there for the first time, and it was also special for me and Russell because a year before I was taking him there for the first time on our Honeymoon!
We had a blast going through all the pumpkins and Pawpaw even took us on a hayride!
We had alot of fun on this day, and i have the feeling Burt's will be a place that we will continue to visit every year!

Blair's 1st Halloween!

Halloween is a favorite amongst many in our family so we took great care in making it special for Blair as well.
Our friend Kim is so talented and had the idea to start off our Halloween celebration getting her picture made in this Princess dress she made Blair! It was adorable!
Blair also had a Pumpkin costume which as you can see she found quite humorous! Lol
For our actually Halloween attire we settled on a cute puppy costume... Russell and I had the cutest puppy ever!

3 Month Pictures!

Eating like a big girl!

At our 2 month Dr.'s appointment, Dr. Barnwell said that we would probably begin Blair on cereal at her 4 month appointment. Mommy and Daddy began after that appointment giving her one cereal bottle at night time and since that is her favorite we thought maybe she'd like it by spoon and decided to go ahead and give it a whirl.

It took a minuet, and a few fingers to decide if she liked it...
After a few more bites she couldn't get enough and began sticking her hands in the bowl to feed herself!
I guess she decided Mommy was to slow and grabbed the spoon herself!
All in all it was a success! By the end Mommy and baby were covered in cereal, and loving every minuet!

2 Month Pictures

At 2 months I decided that maybe I've been slacking in the getting pictures made department. So we went to both Picture People and Sear's at the Stonecrest Mall and had a "model" day!
