Low Country Boil!

For lunch (before the wedding) on Saturday, October 4th, we all gathered at the Guard House (reception hall) for a Low Country Boil. We had a great time and the food was so good!
It was great sharing this time with our family and friends! Below I talk to Art (Kelli's paw-paw), Shelly (Kelli's aunt), Terri (Kelli's great-aunt), and Michelle (Kelli's aunt)!

Bobby and Summer Lynn smile for the camera!

We had so much food! We had the Low Country Boil, crab meat, fried fish, pasta salad, and cake!

Kelli (the Bride to Be) poses with Jami (her step-mother)!

Teresa (one of Kelli's high school friends) flew in from Alabama to attend Kelli's wedding. Her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kinzalow, also attended!

Russell also had a lot of family come from near and far to celebrate this special occasion!

Along with our good food, we had sweet tea and lemonade. Theresa and James (Kelli's aunt and uncle) were a great help with preparing for this event!

Good food, Good family, Good friends!

Yum! Yum!

The men worked very hard cooking the Low Country Boil and fried fish for us! They did a great job!

Thanks to everyone that helped with the Low Country Boil! We appreciated it very much! It was so much fun!

The Wedding Rehearsal!

On Friday night (October 3rd), many of us gathered at the beach (near the Tybee Island lighthouse) for the wedding rehearsal!

We met the wedding planner, Jennifer, there. We enjoyed each other's company, shared each other's excitement, and rehearsed for the wedding on Saturday! Below, Jennifer (the wedding planner) explains the procedures to the wedding party!

Everyone was so excited and did a great job during the rehearsal!

Below, Kent and Scott rehearse walking Kelli down the aisle!

This was the view of the beautiful Tybee Island lighthouse from the beach where the rehearsal took place! It was beautiful!

Kelli, Amy, and Russell took a walk along the beach after the rehearsal!

Amanda (Kelli's cousin) created a very fun video of the wedding events. She went around with her video camera and had everyone give Kelli and Russell advice!

Kelli poses with her Maids of Honor, Amy and Kimberly, in front of the Tybee Island lighthouse!

The wedding rehearsal went very well and the beach was so beautiful at sunset!

Just Married!!

The wedding is over and the Bride and Groom are on their Honeymoon!

We had a beautiful beach wedding yesterday afternoon on Tybee Island. It was one of the most beautiful weddings that I have seen.

Kelli and Russell Rebholz are currently honeymooning in the North Georgia Mountains. Yes, they went from the beach to the mountains!

I will post pictures of the wedding very soon!

Russell's Groom Shower!

On September 20th (the same day as Kelli's final Bridal Shower), a bunch of men got together at a park in Griffin for a Groom's Shower. This shower was thrown by Red (Russell's father) and Kent (Kelli's father). I don't have many details of the event. All I know is that they cooked out and played Horseshoes! However, Kent did take a few pictures! The pictures are below!

Getting Ready for the Get-A-Way!

I think that Kent forgot, after 20 years, how he got pulled over after his wedding reception by the City of Covington Police for having unlawful cans tied to the back of his car! Ha! Ha!
Today, we caught Kent "getting prepared" for the Get-A-Way vehicle that Kelli and Russell will leave the wedding reception in! We walked to the barn and he was busy stringing away (stringing cans that is)! Since he doesn't drink, he even borrowed some beer cans from the neighbor!

Puddling on the Porch!

Today, we spent Sunday afternoon "puddling on the porch". We got all of the tables, table cloths, and dishes unpacked to "practice" how we want the reception to look. Cassandra, who has worked/ catered at many wedding receptions, did an excellent job with the set up!

This was one of the setups that Cassandra completed. It was just beautiful! I can not wait to see the complete finished product at the reception! I know that with food added it will just be beautiful!

The Countdown Has Begun!

One week from today, we will be......

"Living on Tybee Time!"

It's hard to believe that one week from today our "baby girl" will be married! The countdown has begun! See you all there!!

Final Bridal Shower!

On Saturday, September 20th Kelli had her final Bridal Shower at her Great-Aunt Jane Woodward's house. It was a beautiful shower with wonderful food (as you can see below)!

Michelle and Amanda made this beautiful BRIDE cake for the shower!

They also made these cute BRIDESMAID cookies!

Below, Kelli and her Maids of Honor (Kimberly and Amy) pose with the cake and cookies!

Kelli received lots of wonderful gifts for her shower. The gift below was given to her by her Grandma Sandra. This was actually a candy dish that belonged to Kelli's Great-Grandmother Lois (who is no longer with us). This was a very thoughtful gift!

Kelli enjoyed opening all of the presents!

Kelli received these toasting glasses from her sister, Kimberly. They were engraved with her and Russell's name as well as their wedding date!

Kelli received two of these wonderful woks! She was very happy about them!

Another gift that she received was a set of towels, etc from Aunt Jane and Aunt Faye. They will match the palm tree bathroom decorations that she also received from Aunt Alexis, Dawn and Kate!

This picture is of Russell's mother, Chung, and I after the shower. I am so glad that she got to come and enjoy this shower with us!

Thanks so everyone that came to Kelli's final Bridal Shower! Thank You Aunt Jane for offering her house for this shower and being such a wonderful host. Thank you Michelle and Amanda for the beautiful BRIDE cake and other wonderful refreshments! Thanks so everyone else who worked to make this shower so beautiful and special for Kelli!

Bridal Shower Given by Russell's Mother and Sister

On Saturday, September 13th, Russell's mom (Chung) and sister (Polly) gave Kelli a bridal shower at Chung's house in Griffin. There were approximately 20 people there and we had a great time.

Granny enjoyed the gifts, especially the ice tea maker.

I was caught "stealing the presents" and trying to bring them back to Oxford with me. Why not? She got 3 crockpots. Can't she spare just one? Ha! Ha! She received so many wonderful gifts such as an electric skillet, a 16 piece set of dishes, a set of cookware, a blender, a conventional oven, a beautiful picture frame, lots of kitchen towels, gift cards, money, and much more. She was so excited.

We enjoyed a delicious home cooked Korean lunch. Polly was sure to point out the things that were extra spicy. We enjoyed a delicious red velvet cake for dessert. Everything was delicious!

This was truly a feast fit for a king (or should I say queen)!

Busy Making Goodies for the Reception

Michelle, Amanda, and Ashley enjoyed a fun day of making goodies for the wedding reception.
Below, Michelle and Amanda are busy making the seashell decorations for the wedding cake! Michelle and Amanda will also be making the wedding cake and groom's cake! Therefore, they will be hard at work for the next couple of weeks!

Ashley volunteered her time to make cheese straws for the reception!

Ashley will be busy for a long time! She has approximately 242 cheese straws to make!

Ashley works carefully to make sure that the cheese straws are the perfect shape!

After all of their hard work, it was time for Amanda, Ashley, and Summer Lynn to relax!

Thanks to Michelle and Amanda for making the seashell decorations for the wedding cake! Thanks to Ashley and Granny for making the cheese straws and sausage balls for the reception! Thanks Summer Lynn for supervising!
Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
