The Sunset Beach Ceremony!

The Sunset Beach Ceremony on Tybee Island was so beautiful! Below are a few picture from the ceremony!

The Sand Ceremony was very unique. Russell had blue sand and Kelli had white sand. They both poured the sand into a jar and then the officiant topped it off with some of the Tybee Island sand!

It was definitely a beautiful ceremony and one that we will always remember! Kelli was a beautiful Bride and we wish both of them a wonderful life together!

We're Going to the Beach and We're Gonna Get Married!

The wedding ceremony was set to begin at 5:00PM. Therefore, the Bride loaded up in the car around 4:45PM to head over to the beach! Cassandra drove Kelli and Kent to the ceremony in her truck!

Sarah, Kelli's niece and one of the flower girls had a great time waiting for the ceremony to begin. She loved playing with the rose petals that were in her flower girl basket!

Below, the Maids of Honor and Bridesmaid arrive! That is Fort Screven in the background! The ceremony took place on the beach behind the fort!

Granny arrived and was very excited!

The look on Kelli's face as she arrived to the ceremony says it all! She was very excited and anxious!

Scott met Kelli and Kent at the truck and they prepared to walk Kelli down the aisle!

Kelli stood with her very nervous wedding party (before the wedding) in the gazebo leading to the beach!

Jennifer helped pin the boutonnieres on all of the men. Below, she prepares Kent's boutonniere!

Hair and Makeup!

While the others were at the Guard House setting up for the reception, the girls were at the cottage getting their hair and makeup done!

Thank God for Amanda (Kelli's cousin)! Amanda did a wonderful job on Kelli's hair!

Amanda also did Kimberly's hair!

As a gift for being in her wedding party, Kelli gave each of her bridesmaids a pearl necklace! They were beautiful!

Amy (one of Kelli's Maid of Honors) gave her pearl earrings for her "something new". Below, she helps put them in!

Mrs. Ivey (Amy's mom) did every one's makeup! Thanks so much Mrs. Ivey for doing this for us!

After the Low Country Boil, we only had a few hours to transform the Guard House into a beautiful reception hall! Thanks to all of the people that helped, it was transformed and was absolutely beautiful! Below are some pictures of all of the hard work that went into this transformation!

Russell even joined in and helped Cassandra put the table cloths on the tables!

Some of the table cloths then had to be ironed! Jennifer got right to work on this!

Cassandra did an excellent job on the food tables. Her "puddling" idea were amazing! They really made the room look elegant!

Wilodeen helped pluck the rose petals for the flower girl baskets!

Uh-oh! Granny dropped some of the cheese straws on the floor! No, we didn't serve these!

Aunt Faye helped decorate for the reception by making beautiful bows that would go inside and outside of the Guard House!

After Cassandra worked her "pudding" magic on the champagne table, Theresa added further decoration by spreading the blue gems all over it!

In the last hour, everyone pulled together and got it done!

Thanks to all that helped with the transformation of the Guard House! We could not have done it without you!

Low Country Boil!

For lunch (before the wedding) on Saturday, October 4th, we all gathered at the Guard House (reception hall) for a Low Country Boil. We had a great time and the food was so good!

It was great sharing this time with our family and friends! Below I talk to Art (Kelli's paw-paw), Shelly (Kelli's aunt), Terri (Kelli's great-aunt), and Michelle (Kelli's aunt)!

We had so much food! We had the Low Country Boil, crab meat, fried fish, pasta salad, and cake!

Teresa (one of Kelli's high school friends) flew in from Alabama to attend Kelli's wedding. Her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kinzalow, also attended!

Russell also had a lot of family come from near and far to celebrate this special occasion!

Along with our good food, we had sweet tea and lemonade. Theresa and James (Kelli's aunt and uncle) were a great help with preparing for this event!

The men worked very hard cooking the Low Country Boil and fried fish for us! They did a great job!

Thanks to everyone that helped with the Low Country Boil! We appreciated it very much! It was so much fun!

The Wedding Rehearsal!

On Friday night (October 3rd), many of us gathered at the beach (near the Tybee Island lighthouse) for the wedding rehearsal!

We met the wedding planner, Jennifer, there. We enjoyed each other's company, shared each other's excitement, and rehearsed for the wedding on Saturday! Below, Jennifer (the wedding planner) explains the procedures to the wedding party!

Everyone was so excited and did a great job during the rehearsal!
