Eating like a big girl!

At our 2 month Dr.'s appointment, Dr. Barnwell said that we would probably begin Blair on cereal at her 4 month appointment. Mommy and Daddy began after that appointment giving her one cereal bottle at night time and since that is her favorite we thought maybe she'd like it by spoon and decided to go ahead and give it a whirl.

It took a minuet, and a few fingers to decide if she liked it...
After a few more bites she couldn't get enough and began sticking her hands in the bowl to feed herself!
I guess she decided Mommy was to slow and grabbed the spoon herself!
All in all it was a success! By the end Mommy and baby were covered in cereal, and loving every minuet!

2 Month Pictures

At 2 months I decided that maybe I've been slacking in the getting pictures made department. So we went to both Picture People and Sear's at the Stonecrest Mall and had a "model" day!

I can sit!

Every time someone comments on how fast Blair is growing, I say "I know all I want is for her to learn to sit up and she can stop growing!" Well apparently yesterday she decided to show me she had that in the bag!

I've been reading up and learned that reading to them, though they can't understand the words, helps their cognitive growth. So I pulled out our Disney book and began reading The Jungle Book. As I'm reading Blair begins "Talking" along with me. I glanced down at her and what do I see? Ms. Blair is sitting up leaned forward "talking to the pictures!
Daddy and Momma couldn't be happier she is at the beginning of such a huge milestone at such a young age! (3 Months and a Week old!) We tried her out on the floor later in the day and she is trying so hard to get the hang of this sitting up thing. She can make it about 30 seconds before ending up in a turtle like position, but she thinks it's hilarious to fall over!

My Growing Girl!

Since Blair is having so much success with holding her head up, Dr. Barnwell and Mommy agreed it was time to try of fun "big girl" toys! Blair LOVES her jumparoo and spends most of the time shes in it squealing in pleasure!

Blair discovered her favorite toy, her bouncer, is not only comfy, but has toys. She has fallen in love with Mr.Lion, who not only plays music but "Meow's" at her!

Blair has learned to love the bath tub! She splashes around and even pumps her feet as if she were a frog! She got in the "big girl" tub with Mommy this week for the first time and had the best time floating on her back and "doggy paddling"!

Blair has just grown and grown, developmentally she is still quite small physically. She has already conquered so many milestones in her 3 months of life. We want to think y'all for taking the time to share them with us!

Blair's First Trip to the Zoo!

Blair was SO excited to go to the zoo!

This morning, Sept 12, 2009, Russell, Grandma, PawPaw, Auntie Kimmy,Blair, and myself traveled to the zoo! We had such a great time!

She was actually really intrested in looking at the exhibits!

Blair loved the Monkey exhibits! I think because I call her my "little Monk Monk"! We found this Gorilla that sleeps like her!

Just a few random cute moments!

As much Soothie items as we now own, Blair could defiantly be a Soothie Spokes-model! This picture should be her start!
Blair's first smile!

She loves exploring!
Daddy time!
Napping!
She has figured out how to get your attention by doing a fake cry/scream! Such a drama queen already!

First Camping trip to Stone Mountain!

We had a small Woodward family reunion planned for the 22nd of August at Stone Mountain. Grandma Al, PawPaw Kent, and Auntie Kimmy decided to camp out there that weekend, and Blair and I couldn't resist joining in for a night.

After enjoying a great lunch, we headed to the laser show. As you can see Blair requires "things" there's no more traveling light with her.
Blair absolutely loved traveling in her Snugli... and Momma didn't hate it either ;-)

We all enjoyed the laser show and Blair didn't even flinch during the fireworks!
After alot of fun at the Mountain the family settled in for some Some-mores! Yummy!

Blair and I slept so soundly in our tent listening to the sounds of nature!

After dipping our toes in the water it was time to pack up!
We couldnt leave the Mountain without visiting Grist Mill!
We had a great trip but were excited to head home and see Daddy!

She already loves exercising!

This week we've started working out on our activity mat! At first Blair didn't know what to think about it but quickly figured out it was fun! Here are some pictures of our "work-outs"!

She's Growing Fast!

Blair has gotten to be a busy women these days. From Camping at Stone Mountain to learning to hold her head up using her Bumbo she is accomplishing new tasks everyday and growing up before our very eyes. Below are a few of our accomplishments...
First time in a pool! Her GGMa Sandra helped her cool off in the pool! (1week old)

Her first trip to Stone Mountain. She slept through the laser show not even flinching at the fire works! (3 weeks!)
This is my favorite picture. She loves her Snugli. She got to look around and check everything out! (3 weeks!)

Blair's first time in her Bumbo seat. We practice for 10 minuets everyday! She can almost hold her head up a fully 5 minuets on her own! (4 weeks)
Her first night not sleeping in Momma and Daddy's bed! (Huge accomplishment!) (5 weeks!)
